Window manufacturer Latium Holdings, which is owned by businessman Brian Kennedy, has merged with The Epwin Group in a deal that creates a 275m turnover business with 2,500 staff.
Mr Kennedy previously owned Stockport County football club through his company Cheshire Sports and bought Sale Sharks in 1999.
